Obituary of Evelyn H. Waldron

WALDRON, Leta Evelyn H. age 91 of Horseheads, NY. She was born December 7, 1925 in N. Harpersfield, NY, daughter of the late Joseph F. Sr. and Leta (Cook) Harper and passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Bethany Manor. She was united in marriage to Maurice L. Waldron, Jr. on June 12, 1948 at the North Kortright United Presbyterian Church, North Kortright, NY. He predeceased her on February 9, 2012. She is survived by her daughter Marcia Bjorvand of Horseheads; son Richard Waldron of Canandaigua, NY; grandsons Thomas (Julie) Bjorvand of Morris, NY and Michael Bjorvand of Norway; great grandsons Jeffery Bjorvand of Oneonta, NY and Connor Bjorvand of Morris, NY; brother Joseph (Delila) Harper of Kingsport, PA; sister-in-law Toni Waldron of Concord, NH along with several nieces and nephews. She graduated from Stamford Central School, Stamford, NY in 1943 and Delhi Tech, Delhi, NY in 1945. Family and friends are invited to her memorial service on Saturday, August 12th at 10 am at Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira. Rev. Juhura Shazer will officiate. Committal prayers and interment will follow in East Lawn Cemetery, Ithaca, NY. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Evelyn through donations to the charity of one's choice.
