Obituary of Glenn R. Odom

ODOM, Glenn Age 65 of Elmira, NY. He was born September 13, 1952 in Elmira, son of the late Vivian Morgan-Odom and Glenn Scott and went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, November 9, 2017. He is survived by his wife Cynthia (Ann); children, Erika Evans of Elmira, Kristen (Albert) Caudle of Charlotte, NC, Corey (Nichole) Odom of Laurel, MD, Jeremiah Odom and Bishop Odom both of Charlotte, NC. He leaves to mourn his passing four siblings, Geraldine Potter of Albany, NY, Pearline (Bland) McArthur of Minneapolis, MN, Solomon (Nevie Joe) Morgan of Elmira and Helen Brooks-Odom of Elmira; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Glenn graduated from Elmira Free Academy in 1971. He was a class A Journeyman for Pipefitters Union Local 267, Syracuse and retired from Corning, Inc. with 20 years of active service. Glenn was a man of God and an active member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was an avid NY Giants fan, loved to play golf, spend time with his grandkids, working in the yard and sitting on the porch smiling and waving to everybody as they rode by. Family and friends are invited to his funeral service on Saturday, November 18th at 11 am in Friendship Baptist Church, 120 Pearl St., Corning. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
