Obituary of Mable L. Forbes

Mrs. Mable Mulrain, Forbes, Peters Was born to Edgington and Elaine Mulrain in St, Vincent, West Indies on November 13, 1930. She went home to sleep in the arms of Christ on January 29, 2013. As a young woman, Mable married Winston C. Peters. From this union were born two sons, James Austin Peters and Charles Alonzo Peters, Sr. Later, Mable married Mr. Dallas Forbes of Bronx, NY and helped raised three step sons, Elroy, Sinclair and Alfonzo. Mable worked in New York City at the Red Cross Blood Center. She later went to work for White & Case LLP International Law Firm where she retired in 1996. Upon retiring, Mable moved to Elmira, New York. Mable loved reading her bible and was a true prayer warrior. Mable was a member of the Victory Seventh-day Adventist Church in New York City and Elmira, New York. She always said a prayer before leaving her house and gave thanks when upon returning. Mable was totally dependent on her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her sisters Cynthia Santos and Thelma Bryan predeceased Mable. She leaves to mourn her sister Lois (George) Rivers of Spring Hill, Florida, Sons James Austin Peters of Savannah, GA and Charles Alonzo (Mary) Peters of Corning, NY along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and friends.
