Moore, Kiersten E.
Age 26 of Greenville, NC and formerly of Montour Falls, passed away unexpectedly as the result of a car accident on April 8, 2018. Kiersten was predeceased by her grandfather David Jenkins and cousin Ryan. She is survived by her parents, Randall & Shannon Moore of Elmira, JoAnne Jenkins of Ithaca, and Michael Jenkins of Montour Falls; siblings, Mackenzie Moore (Patrick Kerrigan) of Wilmington, NC, Megan Jenkins of Montour Falls, Bryon Champagne of Wilmington, NC, & Brandon Parker of Elmira; grandparents, James "Jim" & Marlene Moore, Robert "Bob" & Viola Hackett, Mary Jenkins and Rudy & Jackie Parker; aunts & uncles, Jeff Moore (Marcie), Chad Moore (Amy), Duke Hackett, Rich Hackett (Misty), Vi Wheat (Bruce), Kelly Christensen (Chad), Cathy Jenkins (Jay), Thomas Jenkins (Linda); cousins, Bryce, Jared, Logan, Tony, Jamie, Lauren, Leslee, Chelsea, Hannah, James, Beth, Erik, Anna, Shawn, Chris, Greg, Kaitlyn, Paul, Phil, Tim & Scarlett; close friends Sharilyn Root & family, Amber Leubner & family, MaKenna Bottomley & family, Kristin & Ashley Dickens, Ryan Messer & Nicole Case & family; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. A 2010 graduate of Odessa-Montour High School, Kiersten was the Accounts-Payable Clerk and all round head of household at McCarthy Tire in Wilson, NC. Always a free spirit, she lived in the moment while looking forward to her next adventure. She was a social media queen, our own Perez Hilton, using that technology and the power of her spirit to make and keep connections between all of her many loved ones. Her exuberance was captured in the many, many selfies she loved to share. Kiersten also had an overwhelming passion for turtles; rescuing, protecting and collecting them. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Sunday, April 15th from 1 to 5 pm. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 16th at 10 am in Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Elmira. Committal prayers and interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
