Evelyn Zoe Drayton-Green

Born July 27, 1968 in Hollywood, SC and passed away peacefully on June 16, 2018 in Elmira, NY.

Evelyn is predeceased by her father Leroy Drayton, Sr. and mother Betty Drayton-McKinley. She is survived by her 4 daughters, Chaquita Green, Ceara Green, Alicia Green-Singh and Koniesha Brown, all of Elmira; 4 grandchildren, Jha'zel Roberson, My'laysha Singh, Ziara Whitaker and Akeem Thomas; 2 step-sons, Quentez Clark of Edgefield, SC and Alonte Peterson of Elmira, NY; 2 brothers Leroy Drayton Jr. and Richard Drayton, both of South Carolina; former husband, Robert Lee Green; her companion of 16 years, Ronnie Clark; sister-in-law Julia Richardson; special friend Laura Gorham and many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was a loving, caring & hard working woman. Anyone who knew her could tell you how she loved to make others laugh. Evelyn spoke very highly of her children and grandchildren.

Her family would like to offer special thanks to CareFirst and their staff for the wonderful care provided.

Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 11 am to 1 pm. Her funeral service will be held there at 1pm. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
