STRADLEY, Deanna J.
Age 78, formerly of Elmira. She was born June 15, 1940 in Elmira, NY, daughter of the late Kenneth Harvey and Marguerite Gleason, and passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Seneca View Nursing Home, Montour Falls after an extended illness.
Deanna was predeceased by her ex-husband Jim Stradley, and her companion of 25 years Robert La Gier.
She is survived by her children Sara (Greg) Scheepsma, Susan (Thomas) Benjamin and Kenneth Charles (Chris) Stradley all of Elmira NY; grandchildren Maria Stradley, Gregory Scheepsma and Samantha Benjamin; great grandchildren Paradise, Sophia and Marshall; sister Sharon Clark Poughkeepsie NY; step father Harold Rappleye of Odessa, NY; along with many dear friends.
Deanna was formerly employed with Chemung County Nursing Facility and Westinghouse Corp. She was a loving and caring mother; her life's passions including reading, baking, swimming, doing crafts, take scenery pictures, and camping. She was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. There will be no immediate services upon her request. A memorial celebration will take place at a later date. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home is assisting the family.
