Obituary of Marie Ann Ripley

RIPLEY, Marie Ann Age 70 of Horseheads, NY. She was born October 5, 1942 in Elmira, daughter of the late Howard and Helen (Woodruff) Ripley and passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Clifford Ripley. Marie is survived by her siblings David Ripley, Sr. (Reyman Clark) of Horseheads, Barbara Jean (Dick) Alexander of Sayre, PA and Alfred Ripley of Tuscon, AZ; special friends Heidi Wilcox and Jan Shaw of Dryden, NY; sister-in-law Klara Butler of Montour Falls; special great nephews Raymond Naylor, Jr. and Jason Eastwood of Lowman along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Marie was a long time employee of Smith Corona in Cortland. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Ave. United Methodist Church and the Horseheads Moose Club. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St., at Washington Ave., Elmira on Thursday, March 7th from 10 am to 12 noon. Her funeral service will follow at 12 noon. Rev. William Vallet will officiate. Interment will take place in Sylvania Cemetery, Sylvania, PA at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Marie through donations to the Falck Cancer Center, 600 Roe Ave., Elmira, NY 14901 or the charity of one's choice.
