Obituary of Anastasia Naska Kremel

KREMEL, Anastasia Naska Age 92 of Elmira, NY. She was born July 27, 1926 in Kiev, Ukraine, daughter of the late Michael and Dominica (Stasiv) Hucul and passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at her daughter's home, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 2004, son Michael in 1997, son Paul in 2015, brother John Hucul in 2013and brother-in-law Nikolas Magera in 2009. She is survived by her daughter Olga (Sue) Kremel; daughter and son-in-law Helen & George Faulkner, Jr all of Elmira; grandchildren Krista & Paul Scott with their daughters Aubriana and Madalyn of Horseheads; Kayla & Dan Stonier of Elmira; special grandson Jason Holmes of Elmira; brother and sister-in-law Wasyl & Joyce Hucul of Horseheads; sister Martha Magera of Elmira; sister-in-law Mary Hucul of Pine Valley along with several nieces and nephews; special dear friend Anna Tepluch of Elmira Heights. Mrs. Kremel was a communicant of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. She was a member of their choir and was a pyrohy and paska lady. She retired from Thatcher Glass. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Thursday, January 31st from 4 to 7 pm. Panikhyda will be held at 4 pm. Prayers will be offered there on Friday, February 1st at 12 noon followed by Divine Liturgy at 12:30 pm in St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. Rev Fr. Robert Moreno, Celebrant. Committal prayers and interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery. Anastasia's family thanks Dr. Roger Schenone, Tom Coss, PA, the wound clinic girls and the nurses at CareFirst for the wonderful care they provided.
