Obituary of Jeffery Daniel Backus

Jeffery Daniel Backus Age 49 of Elmira, NY. He was born November 9, 1969 in Elmira, the son of Daniel and Winifred (Robinson) Backus and passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 unexpectedly. He was predeceased by his father Daniel and is survived by his daughter Ashlee Backus of Elmira Heights; mother Winifred (Sue) Backus of Elmira; brother Greg Backus of Elmira; sister Sulane (Holt) Blackford of NH; nieces and nephew Alexi, Summer, Kristian and Steviey. Jeff was a Boy Scout and member of a Drum & Bugle Corp. He graduated from Edison High School and was very active in sports there. Jeff enjoyed fishing and was a pit crew member for the Osgood and Potrzebowski racing teams.
