Obituary of Theodore P. Moyer

Theodore P. Moyer, Jr. (Ted), age 58, of Wellsburg, NY, went home to the Lord, Saturday, March 9, 2019 after an extended illness, surrounded by family and friends. Ted is the son of the late Theodore (Paul) and Shirley E. Moyer. Ted is survived by his children Benjamin J. Moyer of Elmira, New York; Brooke E. Stedge (Roland Richardson) of Elmira, New York; and Brittanie M. Moyer of Wellsburg, New York and heaven sent daughters, Mia Watkins, Marisa Watkins, Zahira Burger and Heather Effland. Ted was the loving grandfather to Jayona Moyer, Jaiden Stedge, Jairus Stedge, Jai Richardson, Kyler Johnson, Tahzae Watkins, Tamari Watkins, TaLisa Watkins, Janiah Watkins, Jakar Watkins, Jakhy Watkins, Jazae Watkins. Ted is also survived by his sister Cyndi Moyer-Youngs (Karen Hayes) and brother, Brent Moyer. In addition to his parents, Ted was predeceased by his sister Brenda Moyer in 2016. Ted is survived by nieces and nephews Chad Moyer (Ashlee), Eric Youngs (Nikkia) and Breanna Moyer-Jackson (Andrew) and MaeLynn Colburn (Eric) and great nieces and nephews Jordan, Alexis, Logan and Olivia Moyer and Destiny Townsend. Ted wanted special recognition for two very important people in his life, his "brother" Thomas Burge and kindred soul Michael McPeak. The family would like to send a very special thank you to the staff at DaVita for the care they gave Ted during his dialysis and Hospice for the help and support through this difficult time. Family and friends are invited to his funeral on Friday, March 15th at 12 noon at Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Team Brenda's Love.
