Obituary of Nanda C. Covell

COVELL, Nanda C. Age 66 of Elmira, NY. She was born April 20, 1953 in Elmira, daughter of the late Fred and Juanita (Merrick) Hawkins and passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Elcor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Daniel Lauren Hawkins and Mark Andrew Hawkins. She is survived by her loving daughter McKenzie Covell Keller, whom she called "Love Bug" with her fiancé Michael Tubbs and their daughter CeCilia Bloom Rose Tubbs; adopted daughter Heather Vanriper with her husband Terry and their children Lucas, Lorelei, Maryann and Elijah; Renee Stout with her husband Chuck and their son Ryan all of Elmira; last surviving uncle Tim Merrick with his wife Anita and their children along with many cousins; best bud Joan Green aka "her travel buddy". Nanda retired from NYS Dept of Corrections at Southport and Thomas & Betts. She was a member of the Legion Riders at the Horseheads American Legion. Nanda was a mother to all.
