I have known Georgie all of my life. I remember once when we were young outside of Jones Court and he kissed a girl we teased him and would call him Georgie porgie kissed the girls and made them cry! I loved him he was a special person! I recently saw him didn't stop to chat, really wish I did! You just never know do we? So take the time to stop and chat if you can don't just wave, there may be an assignment from God you just never know! Gods strength and peace to the family much love and prayers. Linda

Mr. Washington was my coach for baseball at Tom Sawyer. He was a great guy - very positive to all the kids and just fun to be around. I had seen him around town every once in a while over the years since then and he always remembered me, my father (Charlie - whom he coached with), my mother and my brother. I'll never forget his great smile. He will be missed.

Our loss is great as is our pain, for without your smile things will never be the same. You always had a laugh that was very well known, along with a heart bigger than any have grown. Your life had struggles as do all,
but you always tried to pick yourself up when you'd fall. No matter the day or the weather, you could always make ones day that much better. With a heavy heart and saddened tears, I shall remember all the happiness we share through the years. I love you Uncle George! R.I.P

My father coached baseball with George at Tom Sawyer Youth League 30 years ago. He was a great teacher and a joy with us kids. I ran back into him 10 years ago playing softball. He always remembered my father Charlie and the kids he coached. God bless him and his family.
