My mom , Virginia Victoria ( Kubinski ) Harper was a gentle soul who had many great qualities through out her Earthly life. Besides being dedicated to her family, she was also dedicated to the community for which she lived. The most important part of her life had to do with serving food to those in need. A soup kitchen she established at the East side of Elmira. She, ( my) mom answered the call of her Lord Jesus Christ to live out a vocation to those who fell on hard times and needed one good meal each day., A call from Jesus in her heart to take on a difficult task. However, Virginia followed through with this task with gentleness and good of heart. My mom was so loved by many people in the community of Elmira , she did not have a problem obtaining volunteers. An overabundance of people stepped forward and assisted my mom. They believed in my mom and wanted to take part in her mission of making sure those in dire need of nutrition received it. There are many people who do great things in society and my mom can be at the top of the list . She cared and loved her children ; friends ; neighbors ; relatives and strangers. My mom was dearly loved from all that met her in life. Virginia was a woman of determination ; loyality an hospitality. Anyone who entered her home she shared with her husband and children were treated with respect and dignity. And, did everything to make the person feel welcome no matter who the person was. She was very understanding of peoples needs through out life. God bless you mom and may the angels comfort you in heaven to meet your Lord Jesus Christ As your son, you were a great mom and i will always love you forever. Chris Harper

My wife Rosemarie are greatly saddened to hear of Virginia’s passing. She was just as wonderful as her obituary reads. We enjoyed the time we spent with her and Fran boating on Seneca Lake, having dinner & watching fire works. Will always cherish those memories

We had many shared memories of First Baptist Church Elmira, where Fran and Ginny were members. Virginia served with her gift of luncheons, dinners, especially for funeral family's, a prepared warm meal. Ginnys love of family spoke volumes, a true gem of a woman. May grant her eternal rest.
Friends,
Marilyn and Sarah Skebey

TO VIRGINIA'S FAMILY, I EXTEND MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY. I MET VIRGINIA AT CHAPEL LUMBER. I WAS AT THE COUNTER AND SHE ASKED THE HELP IF THEY KNEW OF ANYONE THAT WOULD FIX A CEILING. THEY TURNED AND POINTED TO ME. THAT WAS THE BEGINNING OF A LONGTERM RELATIONSHIP WITH THE HARPER FAMILY ON HORNER ST. I THOUGHT THE WORLD OF FRAN AND VIRGINIA AND THEIR FAMILY. THEY WERE WONDERFUL TO WORK FOR AND I, SO ENJOYED HER LAUGH AND HER LOVE OF LIFE. I WILL CHERISH OODLES OF MEMORIES OF THE HARPERS. SHE LOVED HER FAMILY. EACH OF YOU WAS BLESSED TO HAVE SUCH A WONDERFUL LADY IN YOUR LIFE. I AM SO GLAD OUR PATHS CROSSED IN LIFE. BLESS HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS. I WILL MISS OUR TALKS.
VERY SINCERELY,
HARLAN PRESS
