WITTIG, George Edgar

Age 68 of Elmira, NY. He was born November 15, 1943 in Binghamton, NY son of the late George Alfred and Nancy Bertha (Brown) Wittig and passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was predeceased by his brother Monty and sister-in-law Rose (Mrs. Richard) Wittig and is survived by his son Myron and daughter Frances Wittig both of PA; brothers and sisters Ira (Loretta) Wittig of Tunkhannock, PA, Donald (Joyce) Wittig of Norwalk, CA, Charles (Roxanne) Wittig of Simi Valley, CA, Russell Wittig of Waverly, NY, Joanne (Thomas) Hartwick of Everson, WA, Fran (Dennis) Warner of Simi Valley, CA, Albert (Jan) Wittig of Bellflower, CA, Richard Wittig of Clinton, AK and Robert Wittig; sister-in-law Deb (Mrs. Monty) Wittig of Washington; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. George had several close friends and was always willing to meet more. He was a truck driver for many years and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Interment will take place in Woodlawn National Cemetery.
