Obituary of Michael D. Lepkoske

LEPKOSKE, Michael D. Age 60 of Elmira, NY. He was born January 31, 1958 in Elmira, son of the late Donald and Helen (Wickham) Lepkoske and passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 peacefully at home after a brief but brave battle with cancer. Mike is survived by his wife of 34 years, Karen (Barone); daughters and sons-in-law Ashley & Derrick Oatmeyer and Marissa & Kyle Gletow; grandchildren Evan, Olivia & Hudson Oatmeyer and Casey Gletow all of Folsom, CA; brother and sister-in-law Mark & Roxanne Lepkoske of Pine City; sister and brother-in-law Mary & Thomas Glover of Elmira; half sister Brenda Battle of SC; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Kathleen & Kevin Anderson of Elmira; along with his uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. Mike was a people person and enjoyed life; hiking, biking, Grassroots Festival and NASCAR at Watkins Glen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and was employed with Rochester Liquor, NYS Mental Health in Geneva, Seneca Falls and Elmira and the Laborer's Union, Local 785, Ithaca. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Monday, January 21st from 4 to 7 pm. His funeral service will follow at 7 pm. Committal prayers and military funeral honors will take place on Tuesday, January 22nd at 11 am in Woodlawn National Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.walterjkent.com
